Responsibilities

Posera is looking for a highly accurate and accountable individual to join our Finance team in Montreal as a Bilingual Assistant Controller. The Bilingual Assistant Controller will report to the Director of Finance and will be responsible to assist with ensuring the company’s financial processes are executed with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and in accordance with IFRS.

We are looking for somebody with a can-do attitude, someone who wants to get familiar with the business and organizational objectives, and will take the extra steps necessary to investigate inconsistencies and ensure compliance with company policies and IFRS.

The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated individual able to work autonomously within a team, provide support and guidance to coworkers with less experience, and is able to adapt to changing priorities in order to achieve departmental and organizational goals. 

Responsibilities

Within the scope of corporate objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals, this person is responsible for the following:

  • Assist with supervising the financial team and financial activities;
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance and other members of the global finance team to provide timely and accurate financial information in accordance with external reporting requirements;
  • Prepare and/or review accounting entries, including intercompany entries for a group of legal entities;
  • Perform account reconciliations for P&L and balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness in billing and revenue recognition, in accordance with IFRS;
  • Prepare bank reconciliations;
  • Maintain working papers to support the audit, as well as quarterly and year-end financial statements;
  • Manage and administer sales tax matters for multiple legal entities in Canada and the US;
  • Complete the month-end accounting close, including consolidation of multiple entities located in various geographical locations, consistent with IFRS;
  • Assist with producing monthly financial and management reports to aid in decision making and business improvements;
  • Provide input on accounting procedures, business processes, internal controls and financial reporting;
  • Assist with preparing tax calculations and liaise with tax service providers and government authorities as required;
  • Assist with budgeting/forecasting;
  • Assist with management of cash and banking relationship;
  • Serve as a point of contact for audit related matters as required;
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • CPA designation;
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting & finance experience, with previous process management responsibility;
  • Bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written fluently).

  • Prepare purchase orders, verify and book supplier invoices, and prepare payments
  • Maintain supplier/customer physical files and e-files, including suppliers’ / customers’ contracts.
  • Process customer orders and credit note requests, and verify the monthly recurring invoices
  • Follow up with AR outstanding balances, make deposits and book the payment receipts
  • Reconcile the inventory accounts
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Record the payroll entries
  • Reconcile the intercompany accounts
  • Verify and book the employee cash and credit card expenses
  • Book the month end journal entries
  • Prepare the documentations required for the audit

Responsibilities

Within the scope of corporate objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals, this person is responsible for the following:

  • Create progressive solutions to solve complex test automation challenges;
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to architect, develop, and maintain an innovative test automation system for the organization, with respect to functionality, performance, scalability and other quality goals;
  • Apply development and QA best practices and actively look for process improvement opportunities;
  • Build and maintain automated and manual test systems;
  • Maintain test environments and test automation systems;
  • Work in a fast paced environment and find the right balance between delivering quality products and aggressive release cycles;
  • Design automated test plans – variety of test scenarios and UAT;
  • Develop and execute automated test cases on multiple application platforms like web, mobile, and desktop;
  • Prepare test environments;

Qualifications

  • Familiarity and experience withsetting up CI/CD processes;

POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

This position will report in to our VP of Sales, who is based out of Posera’s Montreal, Quebec office.

We’re seeking a “Make it Happen” passionate, creative and persuasive sales professional with experience in total solution sales and forming tight customer partnerships with focus on Software Solution Sales. The primary objectives of this position are to grow the region’s business, drive solution opportunities and continually enhance the breadth and depth of relationships with Posera’s customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to Posera’s English and French-speaking clients;
  • Participate in weekly Rota for Standby Emergency Support (office hours);
